Hawass returns as Egyptian Antiquities Minister

A month after quitting as Egypt’s minister of antiquities, Zahi Hawass has been reappointed to the post.

Dr Hawass originally resigned under criticism for his close ties to former President Hosni Mubarak. The reappointment was made yesterday by Egypt's interim Prime Minister Essam Sharaf.
