Lost pyramids discovery has archeologists buzzing

The recent discovery of 17 lost pyramids in Egypt has archeologists buzzing with new possibilities. Sarah Parcak working out of the University of Alabama, Birmingham has located 17 pyramids, 1000 tombs and over 3000 lost villages and towns.

The use of infra-red scanning to find ancient structures is not entirely new, but the scope of these discoveries and that of Australian, David Kennedy who found extensive structures in Saudi Arabia, using satellite imaging, brings the technology into the mainstream.  See HERE.
