Tutankhamun expo raises £10,000 for Manchester Museum

A special fundraising event at the Tutankhamun exhibition currently showing at the Trafford Centre helped raise £10,000 last night for the Manchester Museum on Oxford Road.

The acclaimed “Tutankhamun- His Tomb and His Treasures” exhibition opened its doors between 5pm and midnight and remained packed all evening as visitors flocked to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a full programme of special tours, music and a prize draw. The exhibition organisers, Semmel Concerts, donated the entire proceeds of the evening, including profits from the gift shop and catering, to the Manchester Museum.
