Research says Cleopatra died of drug overdose

A new study claims that Cleopatra, one of the most mysterious and famous figures of ancient Egypt, died from a self-induced drug overdose and not a snake bite. German scientists say the lethal drug cocktail that killed the Egyptian queen was a combination that included opium and hemlock, which is a highly poisonous European plant from the parsley family that was also believed to have been used to poison Socrates.
