New Minister of Antiquities

Dr Abdel Fattah el-Banna is Egypt's new Minister of Antiquities. He and other new ministers will take the oath of office on Monday.

He is currently an Associate Professor at Cairo University and a specialist in the restoration of stone monuments. He obtained his Ph.D. from Warsaw University, Poland, in Engineering Geology, majored in restoration of historic buildings.
